About Us
Thorstad Construction Co., Inc. was established by Vernon Thorstad in 1959 for
the design, construction, repair and remodeling of steel elevators and wooden
structures for the grain and feed industry. When Mr. Thorstad retired in 1984 he
sold his corporation to five of his key employees.
Today, Thorstad Construction is a leading ag-related designer/builder in the
Upper Midwest.
The company designs and builds high-quality steel grain elevators, storage
additions, feed mills, steel buildings and sunflower, fertilizer and processing
plants. Thorstad is very involved with the selection and installation of grain
handling and processing equipment as well as associated structures, platforms
and enclosures.
